This is for you kids:
Do you remember how you used to love to help out in the kitchen when you were little? We baked and frosted cupcakes together, prepped veggies, roasted meats. You were regular sous-chefs in the making!
But as time wore on, your interest level in la cuisine waned in favor of a social life. Oh, you still loved to eat, usually between running in from school and exiting again five minutes later. It’s a natural progression, one we understand well because we did the same when we were growing up.
Nana was an outstanding cook and some of her recipes survive through us. But like you, we were a bit too preoccupied to pay attention when we had the opportunity.
Mom’s Magic Square is our online kitchen, where we get to post those family favorites that you just might want to know how to make some day. So, no matter how many miles separate us, no matter how many months or years we have between visits, you can always come here and find a taste of home.
